About the Conference
This two-part conference will offer farm and ranch families an opportunity to learn from experts how to plan for a successful transition to younger family members or linked partners. Communication, goal setting, family meetings, tax considerations, conservation easements and other tools will be taught.

Examples of successful transitons will be presented. Facilitated discussions will cover when to bring in partners, sell or gift the farm, and what to do if no heirs want to farm. College age agricultural major students are encouraged to bring parents and grandparents.

Join us in Modesto for this two-part conference to start working on your succession plan. Families with farming heirs identified (or not) can come learn about innovative ways to plan for the next generation of producers. You will go home with a succession plan drafted and well on its way to completion. Follow up technical service will be available after the conference.
