Come Find Us at the Small Farm Conference in Rohnert Park next week!

Hello FarmLinkers!

I hope you're all enjoying the wet weather!  If any of you are planning to go the California Small Farms Conference (http://www.californiafarmconference.com/), this Sunday-Tuesday, March 9-11, at the Doubletree Hotel in Rohnert Park, please come find us!

We'll have an information table in the Exhibit Hall and we are running a Land Tenure workshop on Monday afternoon.  In addition to this, we'll have 15 minute time slots for anyone who would like a "face-to-face" meeting with myself or Brett Melone, our Loan Officer about land linking, leases and land tenure or financing your farm or ranch.  Details below!

Session 3: Monday, March 10, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Land Tenure: How Farmers and Landowners Can Work Together to Build More Farms
This workshop will be an in-depth opportunity for farmers, ranchers and landowners to learn the basics of land access, lease negotiation (including profit and crop share agreements), and other tools for creating successful partnerships and new farms. The breadth of speakers will provide an insightful conversation ranging from the legalities of land tenure to practical first-hand experiences of farmers and landowners navigating this process.
