The Farm Stand Salesperson is an hourly, contract position. This person will set up, run, and close down the farm stand each Sunday for the entire season. The position runs from mid-March to mid-December and will be 10 am to 7 pm. Pie Ranch’s farm stand sells pastries, value-added goods, produce, sustainable agriculture literature, and Pie Ranch apparel. Our goal is to increase access to healthy foods and to introduce more people to the mission of the organization.

Duties include:

· Set up of farm stand displays with pastries, produce, and value-added products
· Set up register and sale inventory for the day
· Maintain a bountiful look in all our products, restocking throughout the day
· Maintain inventory records of Pie Ranch clothing
· General upkeep of farm stand
· Coordinate with Production Manager about stocking farm stand
· Communicate with Production Manager about quality and quantity of pastries
· Close the farm stand at the end of the day

Ideal experience and qualities for this position:

· Experience in retail sales and customer service
· Great people skills
· Understanding of Pie Ranch’s mission and programs
· Experience working with fruits, veggies, herbs, grains and pastries
· Good accounting skills
· Attention to detail and quality control of our products

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

This position is for one day per week (9 hours), at $15 per hour.
