4:00-5:00pm: Optional Technical Workshops- select one of the following:
Workshop 1: Organic Weed Management for Trees, Vines, Veggies and More Join UC Farm Advisor Janet Caprile for an overview of weed management techniques for perennial and annual cropping systems that don't rely on synthetic herbicides or chemicals.
Workshop 2: Wildlife Friendly Ranching with ACRCD staff biologist, Leslie Koenig, and NRCS ecologist, Jackie Charbonneau. An introduction to wildlife-friendly fencing, off-stream water developments and wildlife escape ramps. Session will also cover potential funding opportunities for managing livestock ponds for wildlife.
General Meeting
5:00pm: Local Producer Showcase Sample some of Alameda's bounty, including olive oil, fruit, wine and more while mingling with fellow farmers, ranchers, and agricultural colleagues.
5:30pm: Dinner: load up your plate with BBQ courtesy of the ACRCD and Board of Directors.
6:00pm: General Program and Updates:
