Olive Production Basics: Introduction to Irrigation Management
Are you new to olive production? Wondering when to irrigate and how much water is needed to optimize yield?
Summer
is an important time to make sure trees receive the right amount of
water at the right time. Please join us for a short how-to workshop with
University of California
Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor Janet Caprile. Learn how to estimate
your orchard's water demand, schedule water applications and evaluate
water quality. The workshop will include a brief walking tour of the
Purple Orchid olive orchard and a discussion
about collaboration (past and future) among local area olive producers.
