Bay Area Green Tours will again offer our beloved open to the public farm tours. Saturday, September 28th. Fifty lucky participants will board a luxurious bio-diesel bus and be lead by our fabulous guide, Peter Ruddock.

Dedicated to providing food for present generations while protecting the land for the future, San Mateo County prioritizes sustainable agriculture by promoting organic and local farming. Our journey will begin with a visit to Harley’s Goat Farm, a restored 1910 dairy farm with 200 alpine goats which produces delicious, critically-acclaimed cheeses. There we will enjoy a private tour and cheese tasting, before moving on to Pie Ranch. This farm's sustainable practices emphasize soil fertility, biological diversity, and creating a relationship-based food system. Their produce is delicious, fresh and seasonal; they grow food to sustain themselves, their community, and their environment. We will tour the farm before sitting down to a beautiful buffet style lunch, prepared by their private chef.

Enjoy a delicious farm fresh meal!

Before bidding farewell to this magnificent area, we will make one final stop at the Pescadero Lighthouse. Perched atop a cliff on the central California coast, the 115-foot lighthouse, one of the tallest in the country, has been guiding mariners since 1872. After taking one last look at the ocean, we'll board the bus for the scenic ride back. Visit www.brownpapertickets.com to register.
